Conference Ambassador Programme Development
- Tony Rogers Conference & Event Services has developed considerable knowledge and expertise in the development of Conference Ambassador Programmes, working in close partnership with another consultant, Sue Crawley of Fire Circle Ltd.
- We have studied Ambassador Programmes in almost 30 destinations worldwide and produced national and international research which identifies best practice among major destinations and venues.
- We are able to work with destinations to develop world-class Conference Ambassador Programmes, whether you need a toolkit and step-by-step approach to launch a new programme or a tailored package of support to enhance your existing programme.
- Projects to date have included developing Ambassador Programmes for England’s Northwest, on behalf of Carlisle & Cumbria, Chester & Cheshire, Lancashire & Blackpool, Liverpool, and Manchester. Work with York and Scarborough Conferences commenced in November 2010 to develop and launch a new Conference Ambassador Programme for the twin destinations.
- Industry / Education Interface and Liaison
- Contributing to the development of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) infrastructure for the business events sector
- Contributing to the creation of national skills strategies
- Working with Leeds Metropolitan University (as a Visiting Fellow) to develop further a range of industry initiatives in the Yorkshire region and beyond
- Speaking and lecturing to university and college groups
- Contributing to the development of careers information for the sector
- Overseeing local, regional and national industry research projects
- Developing new research to measure the economic impact of conferences, meetings and business events
- Monitoring industry trends and investments
- Provision of articles and features for trade media (print and online)
